DOYLE GRADUATES LEADERSHIP CLASS

MORRILTON, AR – Crow Project Manager John Doyle graduated from Class 3 of the Leadership Conway County program on May 15, at a ceremony held at the Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce.  

Doyle said, “As a newcomer to the community, the chance to participate in this program was tremendously beneficial as far as learning about resources, making new friends, getting a sense of purpose and be able to put down roots in a new place.  All of it was a very worthwhile experience.”  He added that he appreciates the support and encouragement from his employer to participate in such a beneficial program.

CONSTRUCTION EXCELLENCE AND SAFETY AWARDS

MORRILTON, AR – Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Arkansas announced that Crow Construction’s work on the Blanchard Springs Visitor Center Improvements has earned the company first place in the category of Federal Government / Military in ABC’s Excellence in Construction awards competition. Crow Construction was recognized during the annual ‘Excellence in Construction’ celebration at The John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers, AR. on April 27, 2019.

ROHLMAN SELECTED FOR 40 UNDER 40 CLASS

MORRILTON, AR – Crow Construction President Brian Rohlman has been selected for the 2019 Arkansas Business 40 Under 40 Class.

After only ten years working for area firms as both a design engineer and construction manager Rohlman was hand selected by a prominent local entrepreneur to be the president of what was then a small asphalt paving operation.  In only four years he grew the company from 20 employees to almost 100 and increased annual revenue from $2MM in 2014 to more than $20MM in 2018.  He has also diversified the company's scope of work breaking into water/wastewater, commercial, and industrial design and construction, and expanding the heavy civil construction operation.  Crow now serves clients across the state and recently has crossed state lines and started a project for a client in North Carolina in March 2019.

DOWNTOWN DEMO DAY EVENT

MORRILTON, AR – Crow Construction recently purchased the 20,000 plus square foot property located at 210 Moose Street in downtown Morrilton and will renovate the building for the company’s corporate headquarters.  The public was invited for a sneak peek of the pre-renovation interior at a “demo day” event on November 15.

Since September, demolition crews have been working to take the interior back to its original bones and will soon begin the rebuilding process.  The building will house executive offices, accounting, project management and health, safety and environmental operations.  Plans also include a large meeting and event space, a gym for employees, and the addition of rooftop solar panels to increase the energy efficiency of the nearly 90-year-old structure.

WATKINS EARNS DESIGN-BUILD CERTIFICATION

MORRILTON, AR – David Watkins with Crow Construction has successfully completed the Design-Build Institute of America’s (DBIA) comprehensive education, training and certification testing program to achieve the design-build industry’s designation as a nationally certified Associate Design-Build Professional.™

Watkins is a project manager for Crow Construction.  He is a licensed professional landscape architect with more than 12 years of civil design experience.  He holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Arkansas and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

HOPE WATER AND LIGHT GROUNDBREAKING

FULTON, AR - Hope Water and Light commissioners and employees along with representatives of CDM Smith Engineering, Crow Construction, the Arkansas Department of Health and other local officials held a groundbreaking ceremony for improvements underway at the Graves Foster Water Treatment Plant in Fulton, AR on July 17.

The project consists of the addition of two new 750,000 gallon clearwells and a new finish water pump station.  The improvements will help Hope Water and Light to continue to deliver high quality water both efficiently and effectively to their loyal customers.  The project was designed by CDM Smith Engineers and Crow Construction is the general contractor.
